Hardly surprising, but the lockdown has resulted in the series being postponed till 2021. There were 4 races left in the series which were to be run throughout November.
Each of the 3 categories has a clear leader with IRC1 dominated by the Cape 31 Tokoloshe3 - with 4 bullets, IRC2 headed by the J/109 Jago and IRC3 by Gr8 Banter.
The Racecarmarine supported J/80 - Justify - was 5th out of 17 in IRC3 in the last race and was looking forward to some exhilerating downwind sailing in a winter breeze in this series - but conditions had been largely light in the 2 races Justify had entered. The racing has been pretty competitive so far - guys at the front sail to a high standard and the J/80 team needs to improve to sail more consistently to it's IRC Rating. Racecarmarine race with some excellent sails designed by Ultimate Sails and a 17 year old trusty North Spinnaker which is believed to be the one that came with the boat when new - featured in the pic above.
The Racecarmarine crew of Anthony, Conway, Jack and Ross M have sailed really well and made allowances for some average helming at the back of the boat - bring on 2021!
