During the summer months, Cowes delivers world-class racing and a fantastic social scene. The 44Cup racecourse will be set each day by the Royal Yacht Squadron in the East Solent, with a start or finish each day signalled with sound signals from the Squadron's iconic cannons.
There's also no shortage of things to see and do ashore. Cowes boasts a host of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs where you can soak up the festival atmosphere and enjoy the live entertainment.

How to follow the racing
Make sure you don't miss a moment of the 44Cup Cowes with our guide to how to watch the racing:
ON THE DOCK
The boats will be moored in the Northern Basin of Cowes Yacht Haven just meters from the main Cowes Week event village from Monday 9 August.
One of the best locations to watch the starts and finishes ashore is undoubtedly the area between the Castle of the Royal Yacht Squadron and the cannons – as long as you don't mind the loud bangs!
Here you can get right on the line and see who got the best start and which boats were over the line. You can also hear the race officers giving their countdowns and calling the starts from the Royal Yacht Squadron battlements.
