Race from Cowes to Dartmouth on an epic offshore sailing event

LAST MINUTE PLACES AVAILABLE - SALCOMBE GIN MORGAN CUP : 6-10 JUNE 2024

It’s just one week to go until the Salcombe Gin Morgan Cup Race 2024, a tactical offshore race from Cowes, Isle of Wight, to Dartmouth in Devon.

There is still time for you to step on board for this 160 nautical mile Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) race along the UK’s South Coast. Regardless of previous sailing experience, you could be lining up amongst some 500 competitors on the iconic Royal Yacht Squadron start line for this year’s Morgan Cup on a fully equipped Clipper 68 ocean racing yacht.

Expect incredible scenery along the Morgan Cup route with St Catherine’s Point, St Albans, Portland Bill and of course Berry Head at the entrance to Dartmouth. All spectacular views but which will also throw up some dilemmas tactically and of course teams will have to factor in the variable conditions of a British summer time.

Finishing in Dartmouth, situated on the River Dart in Devon's South Hams, this stunning town is thriving, with its narrow streets, overhanging medieval houses and old quays a haven for yachtsmen and visiting tourists alike, offering fine restaurants, galleries, marinas, and more. The perfect place to rest after racing throughout the day and night.
